After the release of ‘Quick Gun Murugan’ with Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Ramba has started her next round in South cinema. The beauty is now working for a Malayalam film that is produced by one of her close relatives.

Though the actress did not get any offers from Tamil immediately, she was roped in for a cameo in ‘Pen Singam’. The film is written by our honorable CM M. Karunanidhi and stars Uday Kiran in the lead role.

But now birdies say that Ramba pulled herself out from this project, as she was in a situation to leave for the Malayalam film. And so, the unit of ‘Pen Singam’ is seriously thinking of an alternative to that character.

Sources close to the film’s unit say that, ‘Pen Singam’ is scripted by Kalaingar with his famous novel called ‘Surilimalai’ as its base. The film is directed by Bali Srirangam and birdies add that this is a women-centric movie and will have Meera Jasmine in the lead role.
